This week, Room 15 kids will be reviewing basic measurement skills in preparation for a geometry unit that should take us through December (and perhaps longer). Students will be working with both customary linear measure and metric linear measure, so they’ll need to cart their rulers to and from home each day (or have one on hand at home). In addition to the usual classroom text work and homework sheets, students will also be navigating a number of flipcharts on our ActivBoard, using measuring tapes and meter sticks, and practicing for the state test during our Fast 5 warm-up.
