Here’s our fast and furious update for the week of September 23rd: Wednesday is a big test day. Room 15 kids have a vocabulary test. They should have their word list and definitions in their binders, but the word list can also be found here. Students also have a math chapter exam covering place value from millions to ten-thousandths. Math homework for the week can be found here: Monday Sept. 23rd; Tuesday, Sept. 24th; Wednesday, Sept. 25th; Thursday, Sept 26th. Friday we’re heading to Lava Beds National Monument. We’ll be leaving at 7:30. Students need to bring a sack lunch, snacks for the bus ride, a water bottle, sturdy shoes, a flashlight, a bike helmet, a sweatshirt, and a rain jacket. (The forecast is calling for dry weather but students should be prepared for rain. Outside temperatures are expected to be near 70, but it’s typically in the low 40’s inside the caves.) Students will return to CPE around 5:30. You can pick your students up behind the school near the back door to our classroom. Finally, whether or not you’re planning on attending the trip as a chaperone, please let me know by Wednesday. Thanks!
Other field trips are right around the corner. We’ll need numerous chaperones for our Adopt-a-Street Clean-up on Oct 10th, and our Crater Lake trip on Oct 23rd. We also have MacGregor Park scheduled for Oct. 1st. Let me know if you can join us for any of these events.

It’s me again! I see that Paige has already told you about spirit week and the lispink but what she didn’t tell you is that she quit the lispink because the whole time everyone was just arguing. I was going to join it but it’s no point if everyone is just going to complain.
I am excited for spirit week though! The first day of spirit week is tourist day where you dress up like a tourist. The second day is retro day and you dress up like any thing in the past ( the 50’s; 60’s; 70’s what ever you want!) the third day which is Wednesday is super hero day! I’m really excited for this one! You can dress up like you hero or just any hero you want. The last two days the middle school will star standordized testing so the student council tried to make it comfortable for us. Thursday is PJ day. And Friday is blue and white day. Friday you can just wear some blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

The Lava Bed trip was wonderful. I met a lot of my daughters classmates and spent a beautiful day underground. Thanks Samantha for sharing your adventures with me.
