The big event this week is the Sams Valley Mini-Marathon on Friday morning. The bus to Sams Valley Elementary departs at 8:45 a.m. and the 3.1 mile (5000k) race begins at approximately 9:30. Parents are welcome to attend the race, though the should be prepared for limited parking at SVE.

Also this week, the Room 15 Players will present the play Scared Silly at 1:00 on Thursday in the Music Room. Family members are welcome to attend this silly little play about Halloween. Goosebumps and A Series of Unfortunate Events will perform the following week. We’re also continuing our efforts to launch the student web pages, beginning a writing project about imaginary encounters with Bigfoot, learning about Ben Franklin, and preparing for our clean-up of Hopkins Road late next week. Finally, a special thanks to all those who helped with the CPE Harvest Fair and the Room 15 basketball toss booth. The event is an important fundraiser for our PTO.
