Marathon Madness

Six-hundred and fifty runners crossed the finish line at the 36th Annual Sams Valley Mini-Marathon last Friday. Seven of the top ten girls were CPE kids including Adrien B. (3rd), Martha B. (4th), and Mackenzie R. (5th), all from Room 15. I’m tremendously impressed with the level of character and commitment demonstrated by all our Room 15 kids. What a great job! Also this week, we’re embarking on our first of four Adopt-A-Street walking field trips to clean-up Hopkins Road on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. We have a couple parents who’ve volunteered to join us, but we can always use more help. Also, on Friday at 1:00 the Goosebumps and Lemony Snicket play performances will be held in the Music Room. Family Members are welcome to attend. Otherwise, it’s business as usual. The students are working on their webpages (click on Student Web Pages above right), writing “Bigfoot Encounters,” sending penpal letters to a class near Boise, and learning about the beginning of the American Revolution.
