The 38th annual Sams Valley Mini-Marathon is scheduled for Halloween Day. This is one of the big events of the year, a right of passage for our 5th graders and an important component of the District’s physical education program for intermediate kids. In fact, close to six hundred 4th and 5th graders from all five D6 elementary schools will line-up in front of Sams Valley School for the 9:30 a.m. starting pistol. Students take home their registration form on Monday, Oct. 8th and must return it along with their $6 registration fee by Thursday, Oct. 18th. And here’s a bonus: students who get their registration in on time will receive this year’s Mini-Marathon t-shirt!
