With two weeks to go before Christmas Vacation, we’re racing to complete a variety of tasks. Foremost among them is the Christmas Carol movie we’re attempting to shoot. We hope to present our finished project on Friday, December 21st. Speaking of presentations, the Scenic Drama Club is staging an “interactive dinner theater show” called Death by Dessert this coming Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are $10, but it’s sure to be a uniquely entertaining evening, and the food is provided by Olive Garden. Tickets are only by advance purchase from the Scenic Middle School office. On Tuesday this week we’re heading to the ScienceWorks hands-on museum in Ashland. Students have their Book Club finals on Tuesday afternoon, so they need to finish reading Monday night. The Necklace play performance group hope to perform on either Friday the 21st or Thursday the 20th, so students need to continue practicing their lines at home. We’ll provide more information about A Christmas Carol, The Necklace, and our class party on Friday the 21st in next week’s post.

In math this week we’re progressing into geometry basics including lines, segments, points, and angles. Here’s the homework for the week: Monday, Dec. 10th; Tuesday, Dec. 11th; Wednesday, Dec. 12th; Thursday, Dec. 13th.
