Check Out Our Cafeteria Elves!

Santa and his elves have invaded the cafeteria! There are boy elves and girls elves, plump elves, skinny elves, a peg-leg elf–even a pie-eating elf! Be sure to stop by the cafeteria and take a look, and then check students’ individual web pages for their elf stories, which are coming soon. In fact, we’ll be working on them this week. This week we also have our vocab test on Wednesday, and we’re continuing our current Book Clubs (such great books, many kids have finished a full two weeks early!). Our focus, however, is on our Christmas plays. The Necklace will be rehearsing on stage this week, while cast members from A Christmas Carol will be developing sets and filming individual scenes for what we hope will be the first-ever Room 15 movie. If you’d like to help, we’re in need of props (small-size suit jackets, ties, formal hats, a small Christmas sweater, a grim reaper outfit, a small Santa suit, and some places to film scenes including an older home with a fireplace, and a modest home with a dinner table. E-mail me at mack.lewis@district6.org if you can assist. And stay-tuned for our final product, which we hope to have online by Dec. 19th.

In math this week, students will continue their work with measurement before moving into geometry. Here’s the homework: Monday, Dec. 3rd; Tuesday, December 4th; Wednesday, Dec. 5th; Thursday, Dec. 6th.

  1. “I like these elves a lot more than usual cause Emily’s, Chloe’s, and all of the other elves were really great, especially who ever made Santa.” I said to my friends.
