Welcome to a new school year in Room 15 at CPE! The kids are off to a great start. This week we’ll be finishing up our first full-length essay, starting our year-long study of American History, and in math, after warming up with some basic review, studying place value. Here’s the math homework: Monday, Sept. 9th; Tuesday, Sept 10th; Wednesday, Sept. 11th; Thursday, Sept. 12th. Note that the kids receive hard copies of these assignments in class, but if they lose their sheet, they can always download them here. For reading students are expected to read for at least twenty minutes from a book of choice, which is explained on their assignment calendars. Finally, despite what it said in my parent letter, Back-to-School Night is September 19th. Stay tuned for more information.
