To make this project work, the kids had to research bird species native to Southern Oregon, locate appropriate nesting box plans through organizations such as Cornell University and the Audubon Society, and use math measurement skills to construct the boxes. They had to create green screen presentations, which you can view here, and they had to do all of the work collaboratively, which may have been the hardest part.
