Wed. Sept 16

Are you the next YouTube sensation? In your Storyworks reading today you’ll get to participate in a debate between Kendra, a YouTube wannabe, and her parents. We’ll read this together during our Zoom sessions at 9:30 (Groups Z&4) and 10:30 (Groups W&7). If you miss a meeting, they’re now available HERE via recording. Each meeting will be up for no more than a week.

After reading this post (ALWAYS start your day here on The Platy), make sure you join us for our Super Sentences thread in Classroom at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Plan on being there and making comments all the way until 9:15!

Your history lesson is here. (You can also find it in the menu under “Home Instruction.”)

Your Read Aloud is here. (It’s also posted in the menu.)

Your PE workouts are here. Try another one and record it on your PE & Reading Log in Classwork. (You get free choice on Thursday.)

For Math, you need to do at least 20 minutes in Happy Numbers. If you’re bummed that it shows you doing stuff from 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade, don’t be. Just do a great job and the computer will quickly move you up. It’s just going back and making sure you remember some of that old stuff. Cash, Gabe, Isaiah, Karsyn, and Quinton still need to take their pre-test, and Scarlet needs to do her re-take.

You also need to spend 20 minutes in Lexia and 20 minutes in Acellus working on Math Facts. I have a video reviewing multi-digit adding and subtracting for those who need it. It goes with todays Homework Sheet J

Finally, don’t forget your chapter book. You need to report what your chapter book is on your reading log. I’ll be zinging folks who haven’t selected a chapter book when I give out progress reports on Thursday night. (Some of you aren’t going to be happy!)
